What whomst is
whomst is a marketplace for paid professional conversations. Buyers post bounties for a person they want to talk to — a specific person (a pooled bounty) or a described person (a solo bounty). People may claim a bounty or nominate someone for it. whomst facilitates the match and the payment; the conversation itself happens between the participants.
Money
Pooled bounties: a pledge is a ceiling, not a price. Saving a card places no hold and no charge. You are charged only after you explicitly confirm a specific format at a specific price at or under your ceiling. Pledges expire if not renewed.
Solo bounties: the bounty amount is charged when you post it. If no qualified person completes the conversation within 30 days, it is refunded in full — or you can extend it another 30 days.
Fees: the person who completes the conversation receives 80% of the gross amount. whomst retains 20%, out of which any nominator referral fee (10% of gross) is paid. Respondent economics never vary based on whether a nominator exists.
Payments are processed by Stripe. whomst does not store card numbers. Respondent and nominator payouts are currently made manually.
Rules
Bounties must concern professional or commercial lived experience. Bounties about health, medical conditions, addiction or recovery, grief, or family crisis are not permitted and will be rejected at review. Pledges may not be used to pitch or sell to the target of a bounty — you attest to this when pledging. Submissions are reviewed by an automated system with human oversight; whomst may reject, remove, or require changes to any submission and may suspend accounts that attempt to game verification, reviews, or attribution.
Claims and verification
Claims are self-attested and reviewed. Verification badges reflect whomst's review of submitted evidence, not a guarantee. Claims are private to the bounty poster; if you are selected, your name, photo, and headline appear publicly on the bounty page.
The service
whomst is provided as-is, without warranty. whomst is not a party to the conversations arranged through it and is not responsible for their content or outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, whomst's liability is limited to the amounts you paid through the service in the preceding three months. You must be at least 18 to use whomst.
